Warming Up

With the flight to Tallinn looming large in the very near future, I deemed it apt to begin the blog.

For those of you who are unaware of what this is all about, read on...
(Actually, read on anyway).

This last year I have been slaving away over a hot till trying to sell contracts to the unwilling public. This seemingly thankless task has indeed been in aid of saving money to get myself out of this country for 3 months. The success of the 'money saving operation' is neither here nor there; all you need to know is that I am going. In 2 weeks.

I shall be joined on this experience with my three closest friends, whom I have known since I was a mere nipper at nursery school. This is great.

Our first destination will be Tallinn, the Estonian capital city, shortly followed by Tartu, a university town and all round lovely place.
Next will be the metropolis of the Baltics, and the stag do's best friend: Riga, Latvia. Not my words, the words of FHM magazine. Then we have the least spoiled of the three capital cities, Vilnius in Lithuania. They're big on basketball, for trivia.
Other notable mentions coming up will include Prague, Bratislava, Budapest, Ljublijana and a hell of a lot of Italy.
This epic journey shall come to a head in Spain, with 9 days of camping at Benicassim Music Festival. To quote a gentleman close to my heart, "Kavos meets Reading".

As you can see we have lashings of fun ahead of us, and I do hope you will check here regularly for updates, anecdotes, banter and cultural barriers being broken.

With love,

Jack, Rich, Doug and Mike
